Shell Upgrade

this is a system for upgrading the Shell Effects (Rarity Effects) of Awakened equipment.

System Rules The rules for enhancing Shell Effects are as follows:

Shell Effect upgrades are available through a newly added NPC, the “Shell Effect Enhancement Master”

Shell Effect upgrades can only be applied to Awakened weapons, Awakened secondary weapons, and Awakened armor.

When enhancing Shell Effects, one effect is upgraded, with each effect being upgradeable up to a maximum of two times.

Higher upgrade stages increase the likelihood of enhancing to a highergrade Shell Effect.

If multiple Shell Effects of the same grade are present on a piece of equipment, only one effect can be upgraded. ▪ Example: If a piece of equipment has two Grade C effects and one of them is upgraded first, only that specific effect can continue to be upgraded, while the other Grade C effect will be excluded from enhancement chances and cannot be upgraded.

The maximum upgrade stage that can be applied to Awakened equipment is determined by the highest grade among the Shell Effects on that equipment.

When Shell Effects are enhanced, they are strengthened by a predetermined amount. This amount varies depending on the specific effect.

There are three possible outcomes for a Shell Effect upgrade: • Success: One Shell Effect is upgraded. • Failure: All materials are consumed, but the Shell Effect is not upgraded. • Critical Failure: All materials are lost, and the Shell Effect upgrade level on the equipment is downgraded by one stage.

Upgrading Shell Effects requires two new items: Shell Powder and Shell Stabilizer If equipment with upgraded Shell Effects is "gambled," all upgrade progress will be removed.
